In the one hour workshop, participants will be introduced to a variety of little critters, learn all about their natural habitats and plenty of interesting facts and unique characteristics.
Some of the friends you might meet during a Reptiles Up Close! show include a Blue Tongued Lizard, Shingleback Lizard, Cunningham's Skink, Bearded Dragon, Freshwater Turtle, Green Tree Frog, Children's Python, Olive Python and Saltwater Crocodile!
Tickets are STRICTLY limited for the show.
Tickets are for participating children ONLY.
Adults and carers will be able to observe but not participate.
This event is suitable for children aged 4-12.

In the workshop, participants will be provided with a variety of underwater inspired craft items and given guidance on creating the perfect aquarium in a jar. Children will be able to take their jar home at the completion of the workshop.

Discovering Dreamtime: Kids NAIDOC Workshops
National NAIDOC Week is an annual celebration that unites Australia in honouring and acknowledging the rich history, culture, and accomplishments of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through various activities and festivities, NAIDOC Week invites everyone to engage, learn, and appreciate the enduring heritage of the world's oldest continuous living cultures.
Join us, as we celebrate our First Nations people through our Discovering Dreamtime Kids NAIDOC Workshops.
Kids will have the opportunity to learn about Indigenous artefacts and ochre painting, as well as participate in a clap stick dance run by local an Indigenous educator.

Red Nose Day At Emerton Village
We are getting silly for a serious cause this Red Nose Day!
Friday the 12th of August 2022 is Red Nose Day! Red Nose Day is a major fundraising and awareness campaign designed to help save little lives from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and support families who have experienced a loss.
Every day 9 babies still die suddenly and unexpectedly in Australia. Funds raised on Red Nose Day over the last 30 years have resulted in an incredible 85% reduction in sudden infant deaths. That’s 11,357 babies saved and counting.
The fight to end infant and child deaths once and for all is only just the beginning which is why Red Nose Day is still such a vital campaign that won’t rest until the number is ZERO.
Funds raised support lifesaving education and safe pregnancy programs, free 24/7 counselling and bereavement support services for families, and allow for greater investment in vital research.
On the 12th a Red Nose Day Stall will be located inside the centre selling merchandise for donations.
